Although values are an important determinant of human behavior, not much attention have been paid to values. In this article, recent studies suggesting the importance and uniqueness of value scales were reviewed. First, the author adopt Rokeach's view of values as the criterion, and supported Shwartz's model and scales of values, which is useful for studies of dynamic relations among values and human behavior, and then reported the procedure for inducing value and attitude changes, and finally, presented the current utilization method of values on psychotherapy. |
