The interviews to the aged were done on the dietary habits and the everyday life in Kasasa, Kagoshima Prefecture in January 2002. The results were as follows : (1) They had the healthy eating habits as a custom. Although some of them hold some sicknesses, they managed daily life and eating habits regularly from their long experience. It is important to exchange these daily lives and their experiences of eating habits, and succeed to the young generation. (2) They did active mutual support and self sufficiency in their region. They exchanged the meal once or twice a month. They did the reciprocal help in the region actively. There were a lot of families which supported the rice and the vegetables themselves. They exchanged the harvest things of the vegetables and the fishes mutually. Therefore, they managed eating habits by themselves highly, being different from a city. (3) They had their history and wisdom at the bountiful life. In these interviews, I could know the historys of the long life of them had shouldered. Their lives have to be understand not only from present but also from the history and wisdom, and to be understood overall. (4) Some problems were the future of the nursing insurance system, the food distribution service, and the chance to learn from the history and wisdom. |
