We conducted the questionnaire survey to reveal the factors to participate in the social activities, health conditions and dietary habits of 266 healthy elderly in Kagoshima City from November 2006 to January 2007 (recovery ratio : 95%). The results are as follows; 1. To overcome obesity seems to be related to participate in the social activity. 2. Those who have the practice to do exercise participate in the social activities more than those who do not have it. 3. The respondents can be satisfied with the eating environment even if they eat alone. To eat with other people does not necessarily need to satisfy the meal. 4. To have some diseases does not become an obstacle to participate in the social activities. 5. Most of the respondents try to spend their second life positively. |
