The pH value and volume of the waste from a chemical laboratory for the use of students were examined. Obtained results were as follows ; 1. It was found that the waste was generally alkaline. 2. The volume of waste reached a maximum level in about an hour after the beginning of students' laboratory work, and the status of the level continued for about two hours. The total volum of waste was considered about 5.4 tons per day. |
